Newspaper and websites all over the world regularly write about us. This is a great way to tell people about the lack of medical care in places with limited economical resources. And this is very important, because it allows us to raise money for our organization.

We provide basic health care, and our main goal is to prevent people from dying from diseases like malaria, pneumonia and parasitosis, which are easily treatable elsewhere around the world.

The most common problems are the flu, gastritis and high blood pressure. One in four people has diabetes, mostly caused by a diet based on Coca-Cola and coffee with sugar. Almost all patients are given insulin to take at home.

A fishing village completely cut off from civilization. No roads, no electricity and no drinking water. People live in houses made of plastic bags that are wrapped on sticks. There is absolutely no medical care and people die from all kind of diseases. When we saw it for the first time, we decided to do something about it.

Volunteers work under pressure and must be ready to deliver babies, give lectures on the prevention of diabetes and teach children how to wash their hands. We also put on IV drips, injections, and suture wounds.

After seeing children starving, women giving birth to their tenth child because they don’t know about contraception methods, and people getting sick and dying from treatable diseases, we knew that we had to do something about it.

It may not be a huge contribution to the preservation of this world, but it is our contribution and it is worthy of respect.

The only way to be happy while helping others is stop doing it for others’ people admiration, and start doing it for other reasons; for example, to become a better person.

We provide basic medical care to thousands of patients, and our main goal is to prevent people from dying from diseases that are easily treated in other parts of the world.

Volunteers in our projects face different challenges everyday and have to work long and hard; they must be flexible and able to adapt to any situation.

We have a lot to do. We raise money, we recruit volunteers, we apply for grants. That’s a lot of work.

It’s always easier to say that you don’t have to help others because they’re stupid, they’re dirty, they’re sick, they’re poor and it’s all their fault. It’s much harder to get up and do something.
