Help kids in Nicaragua get access to healthcare!
Imagine if your child got sick, but the nearest clinic was a two-hour drive down rough roads in the back of a pickup truck. Imagine if you had to choose between paying for a visit to the clinic, or buying food for your family. Unfortunately, that is the reality for many people living in rural Nicaragua. These people lack access to basic health care, leading to suffering and even death from completely preventable diseases. Health and Help is working to change that.
As a doctor, I’m fortunate enough to have the skills to be able to provide this much-needed health care. That’s why I’m going to volunteer at the Health and Help clinic in La Salvia, Nicaragua in November. My time and skills are not enough, however - the clinic also needs medicine, medical equipment and supplies, and funding to keep the clinic running on a day-to-day basis. For this, Health and Help is dependent on donations.
My goal is to earn $1200, which will be used to purchase medicine for the clinic.
